Southern Company aims to be a leader in fleet sustainability because it is good for businesses, communities, and the customers we serve. Focusing on currently available technologies, our initial electrification vision includes targeting short-haul delivery routes with a defined daily schedule and overnight charging, combined with technical assistance on siting and charging needs. Electrification of fleets is well-suited to serve the growing e-commerce industry and support their aggressive sustainability goals.

Southern Company is currently working side-by-side with commercial customers to develop an attractive electrification offer aimed at medium and heavy-duty vehicles. Being a leader in this space gives our operating companies the ability to leverage our resources along with our exceptional reliability to attract economic development opportunities to our region.

Our subsidiaries will proactively pursue the largest fleet customers with a compelling offer that includes:
