GEORGIA POWER HELPS JUMPSTART THE EV EVOLUTION

Whether you’re thinking about buying or leasing an electric vehicle or already own one of these quiet, convenient and environmentally friendly cars, Georgia Power is your one-stop shop for all things EV. With the launch of our Electric Vehicle Transportation program, Georgia Power is poised to provide drivers in the Peach State with all the information and infrastructure you need to Get Current. Drive Electric.™, including:

Rebates – Georgia Power residential and business customers can earn rebates for the purchase and installation of qualifying chargers; while builders can earn rebates for the installation of circuits in qualifying residential new construction. Georgia Power rebates are available for installations completed between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2015.*

  • Residential Customer Rebate: $250 for each 208/240-volt Level 2 (L2) charger with a dedicated circuit. Single-family homes only.
  • Business Customer Rebate: $500 for each 208/240-volt L2 charger with a dedicated circuit (minimum 40-amp). Georgia Power business customers only.
  • Builder Rebate: $100 for each 240-volt circuit including NEMA 14-50 outlet. Single-family homes only. Must be served by Georgia Power.
  • Nissan® EV Advantage Program: existing Georgia Power business customers may qualify for an additional $500 rebate from Nissan for each 240-volt L2 charger installed. Businesses must already qualify for Georgia Power’s EV Charger Rebate, have at least 100 employees, be willing to host a “Ride and Drive” event, and meet all other program Terms and Conditions. Available through June 22, 2015.

*Third-party vendors and EV charging businesses not eligible. Customer must submit copy of installation invoice with completed Rebate Request Form.

Charging stationCommunity Charging Stations – as part of our commitment to encouraging the growth of clean transportation, Georgia Power will install, own, operate, and maintain more than 60 EV charging islands across the state; including L2 and DC fast chargers at Georgia Power facilities for public and company use. The first phase of the project will include the installation of 11 community chargers by spring 2015, followed by an additional 25 chargers at customer sites by December 2015, and 25 more in 2016. Updates on the project, including charger locations, can be found on our website.
